Our Approach to Charitable Giving

The People Foundation does not accept monetary donations directly. Please do not send money to us by mail, through our website, or by any other method.

Instead, we encourage people to support our mission by donating their time, energy, skills, or resources directly to charitable organizations whose work reflects our values.

We believe charitable giving can have its greatest effect when support goes directly to organizations carrying out meaningful work. Rather than collecting donations as an intermediary, The People Foundation identifies and supports organizations working in areas that align with our seven core pillars: Improving Life, Helping Children, Expanding Education, Preserving the Environment, Fighting Disease, Fighting Crime, and Advancing Technology.

Ways You Can Support Our Mission

Give Directly

Donate directly to one of the charitable organizations we support. Your contribution will be made to that organization rather than to The People Foundation.

Volunteer

Contribute your time, knowledge, voice, or professional skills to a cause in your community or to an organization whose work matters to you.

Serve Remotely

Participate in our Online Community Service program for a flexible educational service opportunity that can be completed remotely.

Giving in Support of Our Mission

You may tell a charitable organization that your donation was inspired by, or made in support of, the mission of The People Foundation. Donations must be submitted directly to the selected organization using its official donation process.

Monetary giving is only one form of service. You can also help by volunteering, raising awareness, sharing knowledge, assisting someone in need, or contributing your abilities to a worthwhile cause. Meaningful service can happen through an organization, within your neighborhood, or simply through an individual decision to help another person.

Whether you donate directly to one of the organizations we support or serve within your own community, we encourage you to give where you can. Public service helps others while fostering responsibility, understanding, and personal growth.

For a flexible remote option, you may also participate in our Online Community Service program .

“It must be very difficult for a person to be successful if he has not served the public.”
