The People Foundation Organization (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our website and participate in our online community service programs.

- Personal Information: We collect your name, email, date of birth, address, IP address, and other information necessary to verify and certify your community service hours.
- Usage Data: We track the time you spend, your activity on lessons, and other engagement data to maintain the integrity of your hour log and certificate system.
- Communication Data: We may store communications you send to us for support, verification, or documentation purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide access to your community service program account and lessons.
- To generate your certified work log and certificates.
- To verify your identity and participation (when applicable).
- To respond to your support inquiries and questions.
- To improve our platform and monitor user engagement.
3. Data Storage and Security
We store your data securely and take all standard precautions to keep it secure, encrypted, and safe. Only authorized staff have access to your personal data. Data is retained for a minimum of 2 years after your participation to allow agencies to verify your completion.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data with authorized agencies upon your request or for verification through our verification link and in conjunction with your hourlog. We may also utilize third-party service providers such as our bank for financial transactions, Google for analytics, Gmail for email, etc - these service providers will have access to some of the data you share.
Some of the general answers you input during the course lessons may be anonymized and shared with other users for grading and comparison purposes.
We also implement a leaderboard that displays an anonymized username (which includes the first few letters of your first name) and we display your current ranking among other participants.
5. Use of Cookies
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and help us understand how the platform is used.
6. Your Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Please contact us on our contact page to make such a request.
7. Communications
By enrolling, you agree that we may contact you by email or text regarding your account and progress. You may opt out of promotional emails or texts at any time by contacting us by phone, email, our website, or text.
8. Children's Privacy
Our program is intended for individuals age 13 and older. We comply with COPPA by not knowingly collecting data from children under 13 without parental consent.
